Greetings. My name is Rose LeMort, and I am a writer. My specialty is horror fiction. My very special pet project was given to me to complete by the medium and author, Lily Strange. Lily made a fatal mistake in her assertion that she was working with the spirit of a somewhat well-known person, and compounded the mistake by using real people as characters in her novel. This decision was made due to her enthusiasm about helping her special friend and his enthusiasm about being able to create again. Lily has decided that it is best that the book as she created it be put to rest and that she retire from writing. She is still available for card readings.
Because the story itself has merit, I will be revising it. I will remove the references to real people and make a few other changes. Following this, I will re-release it and continue to bring Lily's basic idea to life. In keeping with Lily's mission, 50% of all royalties will be donated to the World Federation for Mental Health.
Like Lily, I am a medium and I do work with Earthbound spirits. I have met some famous ones, including Lily's collaborator. I have a spectral friend who was also creative, and he wants to help me work on this story. He also suffered from depression and died young from suicide, so there is motivation for him to work for this cause as well. His name is Kai Rikard.
